AB51 (Lead-safe Schools) Would declare that a comprehensive program be established to identify and abate sources of lead exposure in the states schools. (Shelly).

AB182 (Immunizations: Hepatitis A) Would add Hepatitis A to the list of childhood diseases for which the legislature intends the eventual achievement of immunization. (Vargas).
AB359 (Death by Drowning: Report) Would require Department of Health Services to include drowning deaths by county of residence in their annual report. (Cardoza).
AB422 (Lead hazards: Blood Lead Tests: Abatement) Would require Department of Health Services to establish a universal blood lead reporting system, and other activities. (Diaz).
AB498 (Persistent, Bioaccumulative Toxins) Would require the generation of a statewide strategy to eliminate all releases of persistent, bioaccumulative toxins into the states environment. (Chan).
AB573 (Public Health Pesticide Act) Would require Department of Pesticide Regulation, when considering new or continued registration of pesticides to coordinate the control of pesticides with Department of Health Services in weighing health risks. (Canciamillia).
AB825 (Immunizations: Long-Term Care Facilities) Would require LTC facilities to make available to persons receiving their services immunizations for influenza and pneumococcal disease. (Cohn)
AB1452 (Vaccinations: Meningococcal Disease) Would require Department of Health Services to provide information to each public and private postsecondary education institution; to conduct other education/disease management activities (Cox)
SB21 (Lead-safe Schools) Would require all school districts to inspect all schools constructed prior to 1992 for lead hazards and carry out lead-abatement activities. (Escutia)
SB634 (Lead Poisoning Prevention) Would require the development of a community-based lead hazard preliminary assessment training and certification program. (Murray).
SB1057 (Motorcycles: Helmets) Would limit the requirement to wear safety helmets when riding a motorcycle to persons who are 17 years of age or less. (Morrow).
